What is Neurally
Neurally is a private, agentic AI system that works on your company’s knowledge: it answers questions about your documents and produces new ones. Find out how it is built, how it reasons and how it is governed.
From repository to answer, your private AI in four steps
In the Neurally system, every step has a specific job. Together they turn your company’s folders into knowledge you can query, with clear rules on who sees what.
One connection, set up once.
A connector is the access to a service where your documents are stored: SharePoint and OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 and compatible services, FTP and SFTP. Alternatively, files can be uploaded to Neurally Cloud, up to 512 MB each.
- The connection is tested before it is saved.
- A connector can stay yours or be shared with the company.
- Connections that stop working are moved to the list to fix.
Your sources, your rules.
A knowledge base brings together the sources on a topic: folders from connected repositories and uploaded files. With its AI instructions you decide how it answers: the tone, the rules to follow, what to check first.

- AI instructions apply to anyone who uses that knowledge base.
- Organisation instructions apply to every knowledge base.
Everyday requests, in one command.
Instructions are reusable requests you call up in chat with a shortcut, such as /quote or /renewals. Keep them to yourself or share them with your department.

- They are shared just like knowledge bases.
- AI helps you improve them before you save them.
The question, the path, the source.
Choose the knowledge base, an instruction if you need one, then ask. While it works, Neurally shows its reasoning step by step; when it answers, every citation opens the passage it comes from.
- Every answer can be rated with feedback.
- The conversation can be exported, in full or one answer at a time.
- Reload it and you find the whole path, not just the text.
You don’t need to move your documents. Neurally goes where they are
Connect your cloud storage or your company’s servers securely. Cloud updates arrive immediately; from servers, you sync them yourself.
From PDF to video: every format is supported
Neurally doesn’t treat every file the same way: for each format it uses the right kind of reading, from OCR for scans to transcription for videos. Some formats depend on the plan.
- Text, tables and pages. The citation opens the highlighted passage.

- Text documents, read in full.

- Scans and photos of documents. If the text is illegible, it is reprocessed automatically.
OCR
- Spreadsheets, even with irregular layouts. It runs real calculations on the data.
XLSX
- Emails with subject, sender, recipients and the text of attachments.
EML · MSG
- Digitally signed files: it opens the enclosed document and shows the signature details.
P7M
- Images and diagrams in documents, described and made searchable.
IMG
- Drawings, floor plans and raster sheets, with dimensions read from the image.
DRAWINGS
Company - Split into clips: for each one, the transcribed words and what appears on screen.
VIDEO
Company - Transcribed recordings, even over an hour long.
AUDIO
Company - Native CAD, read without going through PDF.

Neurally works and shows you what it does
Neurally’s engine processes the files and, before answering, makes a plan, chooses the tools it needs and shows you every step, including the time taken. Reload the conversation and you find the whole path again.

- In documents, in their summaries and in the relationships between one document and another.

- Checks the available tables and queries them, row by row.
- Calculation
- Runs code in a sandbox, for numbers that really add up.
- Vision
- Looks at figures, charts and drawings when the answer depends on a detail.

- Searches and reads web pages when an external source is needed.

- Splits the work into steps and sub-tasks, and shows you how far it has got.
Your answer, with its source pinpointed
Every answer leads to the exact point it comes from. When the user asks for it, Neurally also delivers the finished document, ready to download, in the preferred format.

No training

Servers in Italy
Documents are indexed on servers in Italy, on every plan. The original files stay where they are.
Read-only
Connectors read the files and folders you choose and notice when they change, but they don’t modify, move or delete anything.
Access by knowledge base
Each knowledge base can be shared with people, teams or the whole company, to view or to edit. People without access can’t see it.
Fully traceable
Every answer cites its source. From the Company plan, the audit log records who did what, when and from which IP.
Certified and compliant
Management system certified to ISO/IEC 27001 for information security and ISO 9001 for quality. Compliant with GDPR and the AI Act.
Neurally: who sees what and what’s going on
Every element in Neurally, whether a connector, a knowledge base or an instruction, stays visible only to you until you share it. Admins see the status of everything in the dashboard.

- Owner, Admin and Member. People are grouped into teams, which receive shared access, knowledge bases and resources.
- Dashboard
- Status of knowledge bases and sources, credits used, files to check, latest syncs, most-used knowledge bases and instructions.
- Feedback
- People who use a knowledge base rate the answers; whoever manages it reads the feedback and improves its instructions.
- Audit log
- From the Company plan, it records the organisation’s activity.
- API keys
- To integrate Neurally from outside: a key accesses the organisation’s data like a normal session.
- Help Centre
- It answers questions about using Neurally from the official documentation, with video tutorials in the same panel.
